That transmitter is the flagship one from Turbo Racing and it's really good. You can also use it with their receivers too.

Cut the wires and solder JST-XH 2 pin male connector to it. Otherwise you can solder the wires directly to the motor.

When front one way is on power it might feel like a locked diff but it's not. When you turn it actually lets the other wheel run faster. The main thing I use it for is to do the "handbrake" effect. Because it'll let the front wheels roll when I break or let go of the throttle (like rear wheel of a bicycle). Basically it's for very tight turns or to execute the drift easier. Anyway, it depends on your driving style. If you feel like ball diff suites you more than the snap oversteer then you should stick with it.

It's 2.4GHz so it can run multiple cars at the same time as long as you turn them on one at a time. I can't confirm if 12 cars will work simultaneously though. Theoretically, they should.

Thanks. I'll try to find out what kind of surface or material it is. Does it make the car slide indefinitely like a proper drift car or for a few seconds? The problem I have is that it can do a bit of tail out action for a few seconds then it'll straighten out even if the gyro is already dialed in. In my definition, a drift RC has to be able to slide indefinitely until I decide to stop. This one just can't do that no matter the surface.

I have one and I actually think it works better if you carry more speed. And that is equally true with real cars, you have to have enough speed, otherwise it is more of a powerslide than drift.

@TR850 You need the power but should only use 20-30% in order to slide. Too much power will make you spin out. Holding the drift is only possible when you have throttle control.

@@BeaversHobby it's not easy but it does hold a drift on the 900mm × 600 drift mat. Throttle and gyro at about 50%. also the front suspension is adjustable, if it's adjusted wrong the rear end tries to overtake the front causing immediate 360 spins.

@@Zer0_C001 That is the MR version. But don't worry. You can re-position the capacitor using a soldering iron to remove it and place it where it won't interfere with the motor mount.

Turning gyro down helps a bit but the steering angle is not good enough to keep it sideways.

Weight do translate to momentum which these small cars don't have so that helps. Other important things are steering angle and the capability of the gyro. It needs a lot of steering angle couple with not twitchy gyro to be able to hold the drift.

This one is about 2mm narrower than R34 so it should fit if you shave the wheel arches off a bit. This body uses 0mm offset narrow wheel on all 4. The tyre size is actually the standard 20mm inner diameter. The Watanabe wheels supplied with the body have outer ring so you can keep using your old tyres.

Skill issues

I don't think they faked the drift (although I haven't watched other reviews yet). To my best ability with good surface, this car can do skids for a few seconds before snapping back so with good camera angle & cut it could appear to be drifting.

Hey dude that's interesting can you something different in regards to staying in its slide or does it also Fizz about like that, is it capable of drifting a smooth take

Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you like the car. But this is really not for me or I probably expected it to do much better than a bit of skidding before snapping back to straight.

May I know details of how you tune it? I tried for hours but it doesn’t work for me.

I think so. I have a similar mat. It makes the car more controllable but the car itself is just too small to be able to hold a drift.

I think the gyro is not the problem bc fpv all in one boards are tiny and they have esc gyro flight controls bms and some even an vtx and an antenna system all on one board that if you split and stack would definitely fit in there Just somebody need to build a brushless 1/76 with good gyro first then more will do it these are just brushed toys that still way better than most of this size

@@420Benzo u probably right, or maybe it’s not the product itself but the programming for it… everything gets trickier to tune as it gets smaller, and since mini z scale out and they started making more similar size cars the product has just gotten better, hopefully in a couple years we will have rwd 1/76 driftable cars that drift how we want them too 😊👊

G7P is better. It has better performance, better receivers and better battery compatibility. If you will also use it with a car with 4 wheel steering, G7P also has a dedicated mixing mode for it.

The curve is to adjust the initial response of the control. For example you can make the steering or throttle less responsive around the centre by adjusting the curve to be more flat at the beginning. It will help if you feel that the steering is too twitchy or steer too quickly when you turn the wheel. In this case you can use the curve to make it less responsive around the centre.

The protocol is still unknown. Usually these cars have their own protocols and are not compatible with anything else .
